Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

One of my students recently shared that he is taking aviation classes at a local junior college in Chicago and he is interested in becoming a pilot and perhaps pursuing it as a career. He is learning about stabilizers, triple 7's, pitch, yaw, and roll. I was inspired to show a video in my class of a 7-year-old pilot whose father is a good friend of mine. I explained to my students that if they had the ability to listen, pay attention, and follow directions, they could do the same things and more.

This project is an example of what happens when one takes the initiative and pursues their dreams.

We hope that we can provide our students with an introduction to aviation via drones while allowing them to learn bout those very important terms when it comes to aircrafts.
