My Students
I am asking for a donation for a student who is graduating in June. He has had a very rough life -- he was beaten up by classmates in his old school in Brooklyn, left tied up in a playground, his sister died suddenly, and he and his father have moved from apartment to apartment, living at times with friends. Every day he comes to school with a smile on his face and completes his assignments on time with very little resources. He never complains, is never rude or disrespectful, and is always willing to help his classmates.
My Project
This will help my student (this is only for one senior) complete his high school work, which is predominantly completed on Google Classroom. Without a laptop, it makes it difficult for him to finish essays and required assignments. Last year he was able to borrow a Chromebook and he would go to Panera and other places with WiFi to do his work. He will then be able to take notes and complete assignments when he enrolls in college next year. As we all know technology is a necessity to a student's success these days. This laptop will help him be at the same level as his peers rather than be at a disadvantage.
