My students need the basic supplies such as lapboards, easel pads, and paper that they will use throughout the school year. Many students in our school simply cannot afford these essential items.

My Students

A year ago, I started working as a paraprofessional at an elementary school. Immediately, I felt a connection with the amazing staff and the students. After much encouragement from my fellow coworkers, I decided to spend my summer taking the Florida Teacher's Certification Exams. After many hours of studying, I can proudly say that I have passed my certification exams and have been offered a position as a 3rd grade educator.

I could not be more proud or pleased to work with the amazing students and dedicated staff at this fine school.

In order to get off to a good start, I am hoping to obtain support from my extended community. I am starting out fresh, so my needs will be extensive. Many students at my school arrive on the first day without the essential supplies needed, and resources are limited in our school district. In addition, I will need to customize my classroom, drawing on various resources to round out their academic experience.

Your donation will assure that we have an abundance of supplies for each and every child. It truly takes a village and our class is so very grateful for the support you give. Thank you!

My Project

The items on this list are just some of my tools of the trade. As a newly hired teacher, my list of wants and needs far exceed what is on this list. The dry erase lapboards will assure that every student will be able to complete their work along side me. The teacher's plan book will be filled to the brim with lesson plans to engage my young students. Glue sticks, erasers, and folders will be constantly used by my class. The easel, large writing pad, and other supplies will assure that we are off to a good start!

Many of the students in my school come from modest means and will walk into school on their first day without essential learning supplies.

These supplies will be used every day in our classroom. With your donation, students won't have to worry about where these supplies will come from. Instead, they will rest assured that they have all that they need to explore and discover all that third grade has to offer.
