It Is Never Too Early To Learn!

My students need an organization station pocket chart, scheduling chart, calendar math center, and job assignment board.

I teach in a high-poverty area where the only sense of stability that my first-grade students have, is when they come to school each day. Many of my students do not have a steady home life and depend on school to be the consistent part of their daily routine. The time when students arrive and settle at school each morning is most crucial to easing the transition between home and school. During this period, known as the morning meeting, my class and I work hard to establish a stable classroom community that every student can look forward to joining each day. This consists of a daily routine,including reviewing our schedule, assigning jobs and calendar activities.

Each day,I work hard to use morning meeting time as a way to develop an interest in learning that goes beyond the classroom. Please help me make this time most beneficial to my students by helping us secure morning meeting materials.

The resources we need to make our morning meeting most effective are: a scheduling chart and organization station to prepare us for the day, a calendar set for our morning greetings and a job chart to help my students learn responsibility within our classroom community.

Your help will ensure that my students experience a smooth transition from home to school, and receive the most beneficial education starting at the moment they enter the classroom each and every day.
