My Kindergarteners are eager to learn. They are excited to come to school, some of them for the first time ever. They are chapter books waiting for this chapter of their school career to be written. I am excited to help be their co author.

My Project
During the school day we have found that small group instruction is the best for children of any grade level, especially Kindergarten. One way to have the students work in small groups is Center activities. Well-chosen centers activities accommodate different learning styles, and allow students to self-direct as they apply skills and strategies in fun, engaging ways. Centers also allow teachers to address the distinct needs of small groups of students. A major advantages of centers are that they create opportunities for a diverse student population to have some responsibility for their learning environment.
