Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach ELA and Social Studies to students with disabilities in a small classroom setting. My students are extremely hard workers that need to be able to relax with their peers in a meaningful way. Many of my students lack appropriate social skills; as a result, they have a hard time making and keeping friends. I want to create a classroom environment that is stocked with games and activities that builds their confidence and friend-making abilities!
My students need games and books that encourage social interaction and confidence building.
The items that I am asking for will encourage my students to engage with their peers through age appropriate games and books!
