This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have elementary students from a Title I school with special education needs (SPED) or English Language Learner (ELL) plans who are unable to access material on applications such as ClassDojo and Google Classroom to continue learning during the pandemic. They are eager to learn and enjoyed using different devices while we were in the building to complete their assignments.

Originally we prepared work packets for them to complete at home with their case managers via telephone once the building closed.

Now they are solely online.

My Project

Since my scholars have different learning disabilities, they are having a hard time utilizing phones, tablets, and laptops as devices for learning. Parents are trying to balance their work and personal life utilizing just one device as well.

I would like to get a printer so that I can print and mail assignments to students in addition to a Windows laptop to troubleshoot using a Windows platform.

I can print labels that I have purchased and drop them in the mailbox without having to go to the post office. I will also be able to remotely connect and troubleshoot with them if I have similar devices in my home.
