When testing occurs at VHHS, whether it is in a finance, accounting or economics, we are often in need of calculators.
We are a cell phone free school and actual calculators are often needed for assignments and testing.
Research has indicated that calculator use improves performance on computational items. Calculators also serve as aids in advancing student understanding without replacing the need for other calculation methods. Calculator use can promote the higher-order thinking and reasoning needed for problem solving in our information- and technology-based society.
This project will ensure we have calculators on hand for students to use.
