My Students

I currently serve as the sole science teacher to students in 6th-12th grade in a small fishing town on an island in Alaska. These students are incredibly kind, deeply involved in preserving their culture, and hungry to impact and inspire our future world. They are environmental activist and believe in an interconnectedness between all living things.

Offering my incredible students a blended learning environment that connects nature and technology would be a dream come true.

Equipping these students with a 1:1 classroom would open endless opportunities for them to branch out and access a world that they are isolated from.

My Project

A 1:1 blended learning environment is one of the most practical, powerful, educational, and engaging environments that students can learn in when structured thoughtfully and purposefully. I serve a small Alaskan island town as the 6-12th grade science/ health teacher and would love for nothing more than to give my students the rare opportunity to connect with the technological world and develop skills that will aid them in obtaining their future goals.

These students have a deep connection to the environment and preserving and protecting their world, culture, and futures.

I believe that giving them the opportunity to have an ease of access to tools that allow them to access information in order to create solutions for today's problems would change their lives forever. They have so much to share, but are limited in their means of doing so.
