Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school utilizes the Ron Clark Academy House System, and I'm one of the adult leaders for the House of Isibindi. In our house, we emphasize leadership, family, strength, and especially courage. We have bi-monthly meetings where we collaborate, create, play games, and celebrate our differences and similarities. Since adopting the RCA system, our school's culture and climate has significantly improved among both students and staff.

I believe that when students feel a sense of belonging, they begin to exhibit positive character traits.

As a Title I school with limited funding, I'm hoping to enhance our House of Courage with some added flair to boost school spirit, compassion, and engagement. Thank you for considering this effort!
