My Project

The title of my project is a question I am often asked. "Is today an art day?" That tells me something...it matters to them!

Nothing motivates my students quite like art!

I am always searching for new and creative ways for the kids to express themselves. Materials such as flair pens and oil pastels will provide them with many artistic opportunities they may not otherwise have. We don't have an art teacher and there isn't an art curriculum to follow. I'm blessed by that! I get to know my students and their interests and then hunt for ideas! We sometimes find an artist we love and then research them online, thus, I've included headphones for Chromebooks for those who need them. I love to see the joy that art brings them!

You might not think so, but doing art affects the other parts of their day and their learning. It creates this positive atmosphere that we all need more of! In 2024, it is a fact that we need to do things to boost our students' social emotional side. Art is just the ticket! Won't you please consider helping me to foster my students' passion for art?
