Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My district has provided us with an amazing program to help our students succeed. We have seen remarkable growth using the program. However, this program is very difficult to implement without headphones.

Students are required to complete 80 minutes on this program weekly.

My students need headphones for iReady. They love to learn and do things on their own. We desperately need a classroom set of headphones so my students can successfully complete their i-Ready lessons.

They lose focus daily when they are all working on different lessons. It is difficult for them to hear with everyone’s volume up enough for each of them to hear at the same time. Having the headphones and a way to disinfect and store them will allow them to listen to their individual lesson the way it is intended. This will allow more students to share the spotlight and be rewarded for their hard work.
