My Students

Putting technology in the hands of children enables them to take their learning to a whole new level! When given the opportunity to use hand held devices, my students' eyes light up and a whole new excitement for learning is present.

Students at my school love to learn!

They come to school everyday hungry for anything new that we can teach them. Many of the students are from low income homes where they are never around any technology. They are so appreciative of anything that we have in our classroom. They get excited when we receive new materials in the room.

My Project

I would like to have an iPod station that could be used during math and reading centers for students to review skills that we have already learned. Students would also be able to use the iPods throughout the day as a reward for work completion or good behavior. Students would be excited to learn with this new technology.

My students deserve to get to use the technology that many other children have in their homes today.

iPods would bring a whole new excitement to our classroom. When they can be used everyday, several times each day, students will become proficient in reading and math skills learned through the iPods. The students would get an experience that they would not be receiving outside of school.
