This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an amazing group of fifth graders. They are hard working and always excited about learning. As they strive to master basic math and grammar concepts, they would greatly benefit from the use of technology. The ipod would heighten the children's experience and motive them to learn.

My Title One school has been heavily impacted by state budget cuts that have impacted our classroom.

In our working class neighborhood many of the students are second language learners and the children do not have access to technology. My goal is to help my students improve their basic skills while becoming tech savvy.

My Project

My students will use iPods as an interactive learning device in place of the drudgery of worksheets. My students need practice to become fluent readers, writers and experts in math. The ipod will give them the incentive to practice our State Standards in enjoyable manner via educational applications.

You will make it possible for my fifth graders to empower and excite their learning through the use of the iPod Touch.
