it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Stop the fighting! My students are going to fight for time on the new iPod Touch that we just got funded through Donors Choose! We are going to need a few more just to be able to keep the peace in the classroom!
My students' families don't have the financial resources to keep up with the changing technology of today.
Not all children are able to have access to all the different types of technology of today. In order to give each child an opportunity, we need this technology in the schools. I am a 4th grade teacher with 26 enthusiastic students in my class. About 80 percent of my students are on free or reduced lunch. All of my students are highly motivated to learn, no matter what challenges they face at home or in their community. All the parents in my class want the best education for their child and they try to do the best they can.
My Project
The iPod Touch is a tool that can be used to motivate students to learn. Students think they are playing games and solving puzzles but they are actually learning. Most of my students have never seen or touched one before. It is amazing how fast they can learn. I will also use it to record my students reading and they will love recording each other. The iPod Touch has the capability to help my students master the state standards in all academic areas. I am determined to bring different forms of technology into my classroom. My students (and future students) and I appreciate your support. Technology makes learning fun!
