My Students
My students are always ready to learn new tasks and show off what they are learning. They all greet me every morning with smiles on their faces and big hugs. They work very hard and as their teacher I am so proud of them and all the hard work they put in at school.
Our school is a Title I school and many of our students come from low income households.
Many of them never get to experience things that most of us may take for granted. Something as simple as a book is not found in some homes.
My Project
Children love books and technology. So why not combine the two and make it even more exciting for young children? CD players are old and hard for children to operate.
With today's technology children are able to scan a QR code and listen to the story while holding the book.
The iPods and headphones allow my students to listen to books that are too hard for them to read and do so independently.
I want to be able to give my students several choices of books and allow them to pick books on their own. This gives them an opportunity to read books that maybe we won't have a chance to read in the classroom.
