As a Physical Education teacher, I change location very often; gyms, field, swimming pool, etc. With the Ipod I would be able to enter attendance and grades immediately, show presentations to students and teach them how to navigate the web in search of information
Students will be fully involved in this plan by learning how to properly do the projects.
The Ipod will allow me to show student projects to the class as examples of how to revise and improve their own work.
Also, with the Ipod I will be able to show presentations more often and make the academic part of the class more fun and exciting for the students.
My students have little or no access to technology. When they do they are inexperienced and don't really know what to do. They attend a public school with very limited resources. My students are eager learners that want to explore the world but sometimes are limited by the lack of resources
My Project
In today's changing times, it is important to keep lessons current and relevant to students lives. I like to present my students with the latest studies and research projects in our subject areas such as health, nutrition, physical activity, CPR and First Aid, etc. The Ipod will facilitate this process by allowing me to use our current projector to show a variety of presentations, studies, and videos throughout our many locations.
With the Ipod, I will be able to teach students how to conduct research and gather information in order to complete their Physical Education projects. Students will benefit from the Ipod, not only in my class, but in all the other classes because they will learn how to navigate the web in search for their answers. At the same time, using the Ipod, I will be able to present the student’s work to the rest of the classes. This will certainly enhance the curiosity of the students to explore the possibilities of research and Power Point presentations.
I expect the number of students that turn in the Physical Education research project to increase as well as the quality of the projects to improve.
Using the Ipod will make the classes more meaningful and will grab students attention. This will result in more learning and better preparation for college, the workplace and everyday life
