Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school in an urban setting. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. I have 23 wonderful hard-working first grade students.
My students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, with a large population of English Language Learners.
They are bright, young, and passionate students who come to school eager and ready to learn everyday. My passion is incorporating personalized learning in my classroom so each student has the chance to become successful.
My Project
We will use an iPad in our classroom daily across all content areas. Students will have the opportunity to access their Seesaw accounts, which is a digital portfolio that each student has, and will be able to complete activities in their folders.
By donating to our project, you will help increase the use of personalized learning for each student in the room.
Students will be able to work on research, math problems, fluency, phonics, and sight word practice through the use of their tablet. They will also have access to personalized lessons and activities that are selected based on their academic needs. It will also increase student engagement and allow the students to become more focused on their tasks.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
