My Students

My students are an enthusiastic, fun, silly, curious bunch of young learners. They are diverse in every sense of the word- diverse linguistically, racially, socioeconomically and in terms of their interests. We come together as a community to learn about each other and the world. Everything is new and exciting.

We are just starting out on our learning adventure and we just can't wait to take off!

My Project

Each learner comes in with her own skills. Each learner comes in with his own needs.

We need iPads to address the opportunity gap and to help me differentiate instruction.

In order to support each child so that she may reach her full potential, I need to individualize instruction. Having an iPad learning center is one way to engage and challenge a group of learners while others meet with the teacher or work on other centers activities.

Older students rely on technology in their studies. We want to start teaching our youngest learners how to use technology so we can level the playing field for all children, whether they have access to these technologies at home or not.
