Help me give my students iPads to learn digital art processes and critical knowledge of technology.

My students may live in Denver, but they have so much diversity among them. Every day they bring so much joy, passion, and excitement to our school. Their eagerness to learn fuels my passion as their teacher to give them the best experiences possible.
When students enter the art room, their brains and imaginations come to life in magical ways.
Why contain this excitement when I can expose, foster, and help it grow into amazing creations?! They see art as an opportunity to express themselves beyond the typical literacy and math their day is filled with. Often times, my students are not excelling in these areas. Art provides them a way to explore and create without the pressures of tests or right and wrong.
My students will use iPads for a variety of art projects and project-based learning. The main project is a year-long animation and character design unit. Aside from this beneficial and highly anticipated unit, they also will use the new technology to learn other forms of digital media including fashion design, game development and coding, and digital painting.
My students are growing up in a digital age where they don't have access to the digital world as easily as others.
Giving them iPads will increase their 21st Century skills and knowledge of technology on a more professional and career-building front. In years past, I have seen students begin to grow their confidence, literacy skills, testing skills, and interest in school just by having more access to technology. Beyond that, students are able to explore career paths that may have been otherwise not available to them just due to the lack of availability at our school.
