iPad's To Help Engage Our Little Learners Part 2

My students need iPads so that they can take advantage of the amazing technology we have in our classrooms.

My Students

My students are very independent and ready to take their learning into their own hands. They are curious, inquisitive, and outgoing. There is no challenge they are not willing to tackle.

Teaching in such a diverse city like Houston, my students deserve the best education that our school can give them.

I want them to reach for the moon, but also know if they miss, that it is OK. In our classroom, they are a community and they are in charge, I am just there if they need help. My kids never give up and push forward until they are finished and have done the best they can do.

My Project

I would love to eventually have a 1:1 technology in my classroom so that my kids can bring their learning to the next level. By slowly adding iPad's to the classroom the kids can take learning into their own hands.

Letting the kids have their own iPad's can help them with their genius hour or STEM projects so that they can research and make things that interest them.

We live in the digital age and I have the future Coders, Engineers, IT software designers, and Scientist in my 1st grade classroom.

My kids use iPad's to code our Dash robot to do different things. We also use the iPad's during our reading stations for our Osmo kits to help with our sight words. They love to use Osmo Awbie on the iPad to learn to code. I would love the kids to have their own iPads so that I can use the app Nearpod so that I can tailor my lesson to each child and so that they can learn at their own pace.
