My Students
My students come from a low income area in Camden, NJ. They come to school every day very eager to learn and explore new things!
Many of my students have limited resources and support at home.
For that reason we try to provide them with the necessities during school hours. We have many bilingual families and many of our students struggle in literacy because of the language differences between school and at home.
I currently teacher 426 students ranging from PreK - 4th grade.
My Project
My project contains one simple yet important item. I am the Literacy Support teacher for 426 students ranging from PreK - 4th grade. Thanks to this wonderful site, I was gifted 5 iPads! However, now that my school has moved me from being a classroom teacher to a specials teacher, I no longer have a room and I'm traveling from room to room on a cart.
We need this iPad storage and charging station to keep them powered and ready to go for all of my classes.
It gets bonus points for being able to be locked up since my cart is constantly in different rooms or the hallway.
