My students need four iPads to access hands-on technology that will allow them to explore and utilize applications to build literacy, engage and become well versed in activities surrounding coding, mathematics, science, engineering, history, and art.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with an amazing group of students that come from a variety of backgrounds. My first graders are creative, curious, and talented. They are hardworking students with a thirst for knowledge!
My first-grade classroom is a place where children can explore, learn, and have fun!
My students are challenged every day to discover something new. They are encouraged to become independent thinkers and are given the tools they need to be successful.
As a teacher, it is up to me to provide these tools so every child can be successful.
My Project
These iPads will allow my students to build their reading fluency and comprehension, collaborate to solve math problems and become well-versed in using technology to direct their own learning.
These iPads held in protective cases along with headphones will be used for my small guided reading and math groups.
The iPads will increase student engagement, familiarize my students with technology, and make learning experiences enjoyable and fun. With these tools, students will be able to access interactive literacy activities and digital math lessons.
The iPads will build my students' confidence, and help them to become proficient readers and mathematicians. My students will also have an enriched curriculum with activities in coding, science, engineering, history, art, and more.
