I serve 25 amazing first grade students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. My small neighborhood school fosters such a sense of community, I know we are helping students to make kinder and more mindful choices now and in the future. My school places an emphasis, not only on this sense of community, but on hands-on learning experiences and project-based learning. This builds our students' confidence and sense of social responsibility while addressing rigorous contents standards at the same time.

About my class
