iPads: Getting Technology in the Hands of Students!

My students need 2 iPads to listen to stories during Daily 5 Reading time as well as practice Math concepts.

My Students

Please help us get technology in the hands of kids! These iPads will be one more way the students can practice using technology while they enhance their current reading skills and strategies.

I teach a group of talented and enthusiastic 1st graders in the state of Iowa!

These students are very eager to learn new information every day. There are currently 24 students in my class that are always asking to use the technology in the classroom, unfortunately there is just not enough.

My Project

These iPads will be the just the beginning to get students access to technology every day. The iPads will be located in our Listen to Reading station during small group reading time and the Daily 5 rotations. Currently, the students are using old lap top computers that are outdated and often times do not work properly. Having iPads in the classroom will allow students to be listening to stories for the entire rotation rather than troubleshooting. The iPads will allow students to access more reading time along with simply being exposed to 21st century learning!

These iPads will get kids reading more than they are currently.

It is also vital that we prepare students for the future by exposing them to these different technologies. Many of the jobs these students will have one day probably aren't even created yet! There are endless possibilities!
