iPads for the Classroom

My students need 2 iPads in the classroom to reinforce concepts from our technology standards.

My Students

In third grade we are dreaming BIG. My students love to use the one iPad we have. However, there is only one iPad and 29 students. Our challenge...not everyone gets to use the iPad to access the exciting and challenging activities the iPad has to offer.

My students attend a rural Kansas school.

Kansas has now adopted the Common Core Standards, and we need hands on technology that will help us understand and learn the new curriculum. I feel if our kids gained more hands-on experiences with the Common Core Standards, they would internalize the concepts. This deeper understanding will provide a foundation and a love of learning.

My Project

Two iPads are intended to be used in small group instruction. I feel the iPads are useful, fun, and exciting. With the use of these iPads, my students are sure to learn the new standards in a flash.

Not only will this years class benefit from the iPads, but the iPads will be used for many years to come.

My hope is that the iPads will reinforce the new Common Core concepts the students are learning in fun and meaningful ways.
