iPads for the Classroom!

Help me give my students the opportunity to grow with programs on iPads. We use Smarty Ants, and Dream Box in the classroom and kindergarten and first grade students have a hard time using a mouse.

My Students

I love this quote, I like that he is willing to dig deep and try some crazy things.

We have worked hard to create a classroom where students can discover, and learn. I want my students to use the Scientific Process and apply that knowledge to everyday life.

We have also had some tears. "But Mrs. W., we failed!" My question back, "Does that make it wrong?" That stumped them, but I will get a bad grade...Why would you get a bad grade, did you follow the scientific method? Did you make notes? Did you take pictures. If I do anything I want my students to know failure is an option, but it does not mean the end of the world, it means we can start over and figure out where the problem lies. I want to create problem solvers in my classroom!

My Project

Kindergarten and first grade students have little fingers and the dexterity for using a mouse is sometimes difficult. So we are excited to use iPads for the programs that enhance our Personalized Learning. We currently use Smarty Ants and Dreambox to help our students grow at their pace.

Watching students manipulate with a mouse can be frustrating, helping them move through a program will enhance their learning exponentially.

We are excited that Fiesta Bowl has chosen our school to help our students grow and succeed in the classroom.

We also use Osmo in several areas so this will be a great asset to our school.
