This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I teach a group of wonderful students with disabilities. They are 18-22 years old and have Autism or another intellectual disability. They are AMAZING students and one of the things we work on is technology.
I'm asking for 2 more iPads for my classroom so that we can continue to build their technology literacy and digital citizenship.
As things rely so heavily on technology, it's vital I teach my students to use it correctly and appropriately. Having the correct technology literacy will ensure a level of independent living they wouldn't be able to achieve otherwise. Being able to use the technology correctly ensures they wouldn't need to rely on someone else for it. Additionally, having strong digital citizenship skills ensures they stay safe online.
Your support would help get more technology in the classroom to help teach these skills!
