Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are classified as low-income, high-risk, and low-performing. We love to move and explore. Our mission is to become life long learners! My students are four and five years old, and they are just beginning to explore the world they live in.All of my students students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep my students excited about coming to school and enjoying the use of I-Pads to help them with their alphabet knowledge.
Many of our students face a lot of adversity in their lives, but they still come to school each day, ready to work hard! To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. Motivating my students to learn how to use technology and enjoy it at the same time is my goal for this project.
My Project
I am requesting one IPad and a safe carrying case for my classroom. These tablets will allow my students to engage in activities in reading and math. In PreK the mastering of the ABC's and numbers is essential for these kids success in life. I would also like to teach my students basic computer skills and learn how to safely navigate the Internet.
I think that this IPad will expand my students' horizons as they learn and develop content and technology skills.
It's important that my students learn the safe way to use the Internet. Basic computer skills are important in today's world and it's important to start teaching them technology sooner, rather than later.
