iPads For Our Class, Part 2

My Students

Our class was recently funded with our first donors choose project!! We were so excited to begin using our iPad minis in our small group learning centers. Our goal is to add 3 iPad minis to our class so that each student will be able to have their own iPad during learning center time.

Our kindergarten class has 23 sweet, fun-loving, energetic students.

They come from various socio-economic backgrounds. The success of our first donors choose project has allowed our class to incorporate technology to help with differentiating lessons. We are looking to gain the 3 additional iPad minis to our class so that each student will be able to have their own iPad during learning center time. Spring fever is in the air and we need a jump start to help us finish out the school year with a bang! Our school has a very caring and loving learning environment where everyone strives to do their best. Students are always told they are a part of the room 5 family and we accept all differences to make us better. “Education is evolving due to the impact of the Internet. We cannot teach our students in the same manner in which we were taught. Change is necessary to engage students not in the curriculum we are responsible for teaching, but in school. My Project

The new iPads would be added to our 3 other iPads that were recently donated to enhance our learning centers. The additional iPads would allow each student in the small group learning center to have their own iPad without sharing to individualize their instruction based on their needs in phonics, reading, and math. The additional iPads would allow me to differentiate their learning even more! We were so excited to get our first set of 3 iPads and are eager to get 3 more to allow more students time to use this technology as they learn. I am so pleased with how eager the students are to want to learn while using these iPads. The students enjoy using technology daily and this use of technology allows them to have fun while learning at the same time! The 3 additional iPads would be used daily during our small group learning time and would allow the students to work on standards not yet met or standards above grade level without other students knowing.
