My students are on IEPs and have very specific educational needs or behavioral needs. With all the stress in the kids' lives, I have been integrating more mindfulness exercises into their daily routines. This helps concentration increase and behaviors decrease.
Many students are under a great amount of pressure each day. Many children are struggling to cope with the stress of living in a Covid world. I would like to offer more mindfulness options to my students throughout their day. Breaks have become more and more recent and common, offering a quick mindfulness activity helps the student reset, refocus, and try again. I have noticed a big difference in students that use mindfulness, but many need help and guidance in these exercises. With the help of iPads and technology, these can really be training students to do this on their own!
