We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.

My Project
My kindergarten students currently struggle with literacy skills. It is important to me that my students experience learning with the assistance of technology. In order to enhance literacy instruction and learning, my students need iPads. I teach at a Title I school where students are of low socioeconomic status. Introducing iPads into my classroom will allow my students the opportunity to use technology that they otherwise may not have access to in their daily lives. The iPads will not only enhance authentic learning experiences, but will also increase the interest and anticipation level of my students. Lastly, iPads will also assist my students to build skills in order to be successful students in our diverse technological world.
The iPads would allow opportunity to reinforce literacy skills taught through interactive applications while participating in independent literacy centers.
The iPads will be utilized as a tool to intensify understanding of content, as well as afford my students the opportunity to enhance skills in using technology within an educational setting. Students are extremely intrigued by technology, therefore iPads would lend to their learning experience and educational journey.
