This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher at an underprivileged school in Queens, NY. This year, I have had the opportunity to develop a music and theater program at my school. The kids love their opportunities to learn music and play with instruments.

There are some amazing music and theater opportunities for children to use iPads.

There are music-creating apps like GarageBand and InstaBeat. In addition, Apple has a wonderful film-making device built in. Unfortunately, my students do not have access to these because we do not have any iPads for the music/theater program.

These iPads would allow children to really delve into music education and learning film-making techniques.
