I feel so honored to work as a kindergarten teacher to 20 wonderful students! My kiddos are so sweet, love to share, learn, work, and collaborate together! They are always on the move, engaging in one activity after the next!
I teach in an urban area where students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Many of my students come to me without preschool experience and lack many of the prerequisite skills their suburban counterparts come to school with. Despite these challenges, my students come to me willing and excited to learn! They come to me as dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners who have a thirst for knowledge! They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers.
They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful educational experience and endeavors.
My students are interested and curious kiddos. However, all of them are different and unique in their own way. Having iPads in our classroom can help with differentiation. Students can play fun, educational games that will challenge them at their academic level, in areas that they as an individual can use help with! We already have 3 iPads but another one will allow for more of my students to be engaged with them! iPads motivate my students all around. Behavior, motivation and engagement have all been improved since introducing ipads to my classroom. Donations to this project would help to further improve our classroom dynamics! Currently we have 3 computers in our classroom and students love every chance they get to be on the computers. We also have 3 ipads. With one more iPad, even more students will be exposed to differentiated learning daily!
