Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! They come from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds. They are eager to learn. I love that we get to learn from each other everyday!

My hope is to give them opportunities that will continue to enhance their education so that their love of learning will continue to grow.

I would like to immerse our classroom with as much technology as I can, so that they are ready for this digital world. Together you can help me achieve this!

My Project

iPads in my classroom will not only add another modality to reach all the different learning styles in my classroom, but it will also increase student and parent involvement. I plan on using them with the Seesaw app to encourage more discussions about learning between parents and their children.

With the iPads, reluctant learners will be more engaged and motivated to become active participants in their learning.

One way they will be used is to take pictures of student work and create digital portfolios that can be shared with parents daily. This will help build a stronger home-school connection. Parents will know in "real time" what their child learned in school.

Many of my students do not have access to technology such as iPads in their homes. I know that having them in my classroom will enhance their learning and give them experiences they will only get at school.
