Our newly built, rural school continues to provide our grades kindergarten-sixth students with opportunities to use technology and innovative opportunities. These iPads would allow my students not only to use these devices for normal device functions but they will also be used to operate previously purchased Dash and Dot robots using their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
The innovative and collaborative students in my classroom are yearning for more opportunities to expand their knowledge base and creativity through programming experiences.
My Project
The iPads will be used to reinforce opportunities for innovative thinking. The iPads will help operate previously purchased robots in our kindergarten-sixth grade Technology and Innovation class. Students will use critical thinking and problem solving skills to manipulate the robots using apps on the iPad. Since a wide range of age and ability levels will be using the iPads, cases will benefit the longevity of the iPads.
These iPads will also allow my 470 students to use their 21st Century Learning skills to gain and portray their knowledge.
It is my hope to provide as many possible opportunities for my students to use the iPads on a daily basis.
