This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year my co-teacher and I will be hosting a classroom full of 28 unique learners at our Title I school in Brooklyn.
Our class is an ICT class, a setting where students with and without special needs learn the same curriculum in a differentiated learning environment.
Our students range from children with language disabilities to gifted learners. They are united in their common desire to learn and find answers to their questions about the world, and we strive to provide them with the resources they need to find answers to their questions
My Project
The three i-Pads and the accompanying accessories will make a world of difference for our students! They will be used at many points throughout the day to provide targeted, on-level instruction to groups of different learners. The i-Pads are a tool that help us make sure that all students- from those who are working on learning their 1,2,3's to those who are ready to master multiplication- can engage with content that is challenging and appropriate. The i-Pads are also a vital resource when immersed in Project Based Learning units. The technology allows students to interact with videos, music, art, and photographs, and to research loads of fascinating content.
