My Students

I have a kindergarten classroom filled with 30 vibrant, busy students with big, bold personalities. Our days are filled with whole group learning, centers, RTI, and STEAM activities so we are always on the move. My classroom is busting at the seams! I have a full time classroom aid to help throughout the day. My kiddos are from a VERY rural area where parental involvement is low so emotional support is very important. I have several students with IEPs so my projects are designed to provide the best learning environment and engagement for my students!

My Project

In a classroom full of busy 5 year olds, our center rotations have been broken down into 6 groups of 5 students. With only 2 adults, students need a variety of tools with which to learn. We utilize Chromebooks, 2 teacher led centers, 2 independent centers, and an iPad center. Our current supply of iPads are outdated or damaged and new apps are not able to be downloaded. We are in need of an iPad remodel. Students love the independence of manipulating them and exploring math and reading through the colors and sounds of iPads and lets face it, in a world full of technology, students are able to use them independently! Please help make our iPad remodel possible.
