iPads for Independence & Differentiation

Help me give my students iPads for our literacy and math centers. The iPads I currently have in my classroom do not work anymore with the learning apps because they are old and will not update.

My Students

My students are extremely special and wonderful, as is our school! We have a tight-knit community that works together to help our students become well-rounded individuals. Our school is extremely low funded by the state due to living in a rural area. We have to work hard at fundraising every year in order to keep our amazing programs going strong, such as life lab, computer lab, library, music, and art.

This year I have incorporated using iPads for some of our literacy and math centers in our classroom and it has been a great hit!

The students and I love how they can work independently and at their own pace so that it differentiates instruction and learning for each student.

My Project

Having new and updated iPads in our classroom will boost my students’ independence and differentiated learning. Students will be able to work at their own pace and levels within the reading and math apps during our center time each day. Currently the iPads we have do not support the learning apps we need to be using because they are old and will not support these apps or updates. My students are constantly disappointed that the apps and learning games don’t work properly, freeze, and shut down often. We would absolutely love to get the newest and most updated iPads for our classroom!
