This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am currently going back to school to receive my Master's degree in Technology and Education. The sad part about this is what I'm learning in my classes is not existent because of the lack of resources in our school.

My students are just starting the foundations of learning at the ripe age of five.

Even though most of my students receive free and reduced price lunch and are from a low socioeconomic situation, their motivation to learn and succeed is strong. Unfortunately, due to their limited incomes, many are not exposed to technology such as iPads.

My Project

My students will be able to use the 4 iPads in group settings and individually for math and Language Arts. There are many free apps available that will help my students with letters, sounds, and penmanship for Language Arts. For math they will be able use the iPads to count, recognize numbers and add to help them with the California Common Core Standards.

I am hoping to incorporate techniques and 21st century skills that I am learning in my Master's class with the use of these donated iPads.

I hope to make my students collaborators, critical thinkers, and creators ready anything that comes their way.
