Help me give my students a brighter future by putting 2 iPads with cases in their hands in order to access innovative learning programs and begin their coding adventures!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a low-income school in Homestead, Florida. My classroom is multicultural. Many of my students face many challenges on a daily basis. Most of my students come from homes where English is not their primary language. Others lack the basic needs that children need in order to succeed in school.
My third graders are invincible!
Even though there are many factors that can keep them from being successful, they come to school ready to fight the everyday struggles of life. They are brave and strong!
My Project
My students will use the iPads to access computer science programs to help them begin their adventures in coding! They will also use the iPads to help them explore and investigate their curiosities through research and science simulator programs. This new knowledge can open the doors to a career in computer science in the future. All learners can benefit from these types of learning experiences.
My students of the future will use the iPads to foster creativity, problem solving, and hands on experiences as they explore coding and innovative computer science programs.
My students will use these experiences to empower their learning in a fun and engaging way!
