Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a culturally diverse group. I am lucky enough to loop up from kindergarten to 1st grade with them! I love that they are explorers, they are always up for a challenge, and they have formed a welcoming community. They enjoy hands-on learning as well as growing in their knowledge of technology.
My students deserve the opportunity to learn, explore, and show what they know in ways that meet their individual needs.
They love to sing, draw, create stories, and are full of wonderings. They learn to be brave, take risks, and aren't afraid to make mistakes. They motivate me, keep me on my toes, and I always look forward to seeing what new adventure awaits us!
My Project
As education and technology continuously evolve, it is imperative students have the right tools to keep up. Many educational resources require the download of an app, and the use of an iPad which many of our Title I students don’t have access to at home.
By sowing into this project, you are sowing into our future and equipping them with the necessary tools to keep up with technological advances.
Students will grow and strengthen their reading, math, science, language and technology skills. They will be able to electronically share their work with peers, parents, and the surrounding community. iPads will be used at centers, and even throughout the school to keep track of their daily choices.
