iPads + Crayons = Serious Design Thinking Magic

My Students

Our elementary STEAM students in grades K-5 love visiting our STEAM class every week for 60 minutes. It is the perfect space for hands-on learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

We start our class reconnecting with one another, learning about the day's challenge/activity and expectations, and participating in an inspiration conversation.

Once students have learned about the day's challenge, they form teams, and start brainstorming solutions. Using materials available in our room they work through the Engineering Design Process to work out their solution.

My Project

We just received a class set of iPads through two successful grants. We're excited to put these to use during our Engineering Design challenges in Steam.

Engineering Design teams will use their iPads and Logitech Crayons to document their brainstorming, prototype drafting, and data collection.

We're asking for six Logitech Crayons because we generally have six teams for each of our 25 Kindergarten through 5th grade STEAM class. The Logitech Crayons will help our student engineers precisely showcase their work and thinking. The crayons have been proven to work seamlessly with iPads and are a lot cheaper than their Apple Pen/Crayon competition.
