My first graders love to access digital curriculum. Throughout the school day, my students use iPads to record themselves reading phonemic passages, working with words in spelling patterns, uploading writing into digital portfolios, and practicing first grade math concepts. My students also have adaptive programs in reading and math that guide them through learning at an indicate.
My students use digital portfolios to demonstrate mastery of reading, writing and math concepts.
They take photos, make audio recordings, and film video presentations. They are motivated to write and read through the use of digital portfolios that are shared with families. My students have the opportunity to take photos, make videos, and record themselves reading their own work. Parents are able to make comments to their students that encourage learning and putting forth the best effort.
I feel that it would expand my students' writing, reading, and math experiences if their iPads had a quality protective case for taking home for remote learning.
My Project
With protective iPad cases, students can safely take home their iPads for remote learning.
