This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a third grade teacher in a title 1 school. My students really like using technology but they do not have access to it.
I have 15 students in my class who are eager to interact with technology, however we are limited in access at my school.
Most of my students do not have access to technology at home either. All of our reading and math programs are accessible through the web.
My Project
An iPad mini along with the 3 class computers will allow more students to access the technology component of our reading and math books. Students will be able to complete class room assignments in both reading and math. They will be able to listen to our weekly story and work on math facts.
This will allow more students access to our web base curriculum that they would other wise not have access.
It allows students to feel a sense of accomplishment and it will help them prepare for our state test in April.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
