Help me give my students iPad Pros they can share in my class to access Prodigy math curriculum as well as iReady curriculum that goes with our math textbooks, please!
Let's face it, at this day and age students are brought up in a technical world. They're generation is even more tech savvy than many of their parents! Teachers have to stay current with the times to be revelent and get through to their students. Smart teachers use technology to their advantage. That's why I love to use Prodigy in my classroom. It's an exciting game where students can battle their classmates and use their mathematical reasoning to solve teacher assigned curriculum. Kids BEG and plead to get on this program! Teachers monitor their work and can use the data to pull small groups for reteaching or reinforcing or assign more rigorous problems for a challenge so that every child grows.
Kids are going to get on their phones, laptops, and computers.
Why not help them to grow in the process?They love it so much they answer hundreds of questions on Weekends and Holidays! When's the last time you heard of kids doing that? Will you help support our endeavors?
My Project
Kids can rotate in centers to utilize the iPad Pros in my math class. If we are lucky enough to have some donated to our class, we would use them daily to access Prodigy to battle using correct math answers to teacher assigned curriculum. I will also take advantage of the extra 35 minutes our bus riders have in my class to allow them to rotate the iPads at the end of the day. All students would have access on a rotational basis. I feel this would reach many students too economically challenged to have access to Prodigy or iReady otherwise.
