This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with inquisitive students who are always ready to learn more. They are challenged with complex tasks daily and are eager to apply their math and science skills to everyday life. While many of my students struggle to learn the English language, they all put forth as much effort as they can so they can feel proud of their accomplishments by the end of each day. My students represent all types of backgrounds, socio-economic levels, various learning styles and abilities.

As the population in the area keeps growing, class sizes keep growing and growing.

I do not want students to get lost in the mix, but rather feel the importance of being an individual with what they have to offer to our learning community. My goal is to make my classroom fully digital to enhance their experience and have each student motivated to continue learning.

My Project

As our school keeps growing in size, I do not want to have students feeling left behind. I like to utilize technology to the fullest in my classroom and using an iPad Pro with be most beneficial. Since our school is planning to become fully digital, I want to make resources fully available to all students.

Currently being able to project only at the computer work station limits my interaction with struggling students.

Having an iPad will help me be able to work closely with those students who need more attention. I will be able to focus on certain skills and be able to show them videos, examples, or even draw and write to elaborate content. Having this technology piece will allow students to become more interested in the content and enhance learning.
