My Students
The STEAM Gifted/Highly Gifted Magnet at HCA is an exciting, warm and inquisitive place to be since the students make it so. By focusing on STEAM and making Science and Math classes engaging and challenging,
My middle school students are the joy and laughter of my soul.
They constantly inspire me with their resilience, passion for learning, and drive to become successful, productive members of the world stage. By focusing on a growth mentality, these future adults are an inquisitive class of active learners who know that with consistent hard work, they can become anyone they want to be.
My Project
By donating to my project, the iPad Pro will give all students a window into the exciting world of math and science! They will use the iPad to skype real-world scientists and mathematicians from Amgen.
My students will use the iPad Pro to plan their science experiments, draw their diagrams, organize and share their results.
Planning their experiments on iOS will make addressing STEAM principles easier by having students work on both Android and iOS platforms.
In addition, math, my students will use the iPad Pro for extra tutoring, eliminating the stigma of "not getting it" by using a cool device.
