This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 23 enthusiastic second graders, which include special education, magnet students, English Language Learners, and intervention students. These students are eager to learn new things every day.
Even though my students live in a community where they endure socio-economic hardships, they come to school every day eager and ready to learn.
They attend a school in California which resides in a low-income neighborhood. Their school provides regular education and gifted/magnet education. However, my students attend regular education so they do not have access to all the materials and enrichment that the magnet students have.
My Project
An iPad will make a great impact on my students' learning because it is hard to do well on all the state testing that is required of them when the iPad is 15 years old.
This new iPad will allow me to test my students with ease and accuracy.
My students will be able to pass their tests with this new iPad which is much needed. This new resource will be used inside the classroom this year as we are going to be in person, yippee. They have waited a long time for this.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
