This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These iPads will allow students to record video/ digital projects in my English and AP Capstone classes as part of their Project-Based Learning Assessments. (PSA's, Pod Casts, etc.) Also, my AP Seminar students are moving to AP Research and are excited to develop methodologies to collect data to implement the development of solutions to issues facing the US and their local communities. Each year, students research an important issue that needs further study in order to argue for change; they are no longer reliant on the research of others; they must add to the body of research with their work. Student write a literature review, design and implement safe, ethical methodologies to facilitate data collection, organize results, synthesize data, and explain the value of the information gathered and how it achieves the goal of the research. Students engage in formal development and critical thinking regarding the broader implications of the research. Students go out in teams to collect data and need the minis to facilitate this process.
